New Sewing Machine

Hooray! Yesterday I went out and bought my first computer sewing/embroidery machine. I have completed my first embroidery design. It's a musical treble cleff. I have alway's wanted one of these. I am making my first sewing project on it tomorrow. I am making a crib sheet for the new baby that is expected in June. Her due date is 10 days after my birthday. Hopefully I will have the best present. Anyhow, I am going to try to post some pictures.

For those of you that collect Barbie or you still have yours, below is a website that shows you how to care for her hair ( That is if she has very hard tangled hair). From these steps it looks there are a lot steps. I have a few that are like that. I am going to try this on my doll. I just have to get the metal comb.

Hope you enjoy this. If anyone tries this let me know how it worked out. Have a beautiful day.

For those of you that like to crochet, I found a wonderful pattern made with 1 skein of Canon 1 pound yarn. I am talking about a wrap. It measure 24" long. It's made from dc2=7tog, chain, sc, dc, tr. You need a g hook.

Here is the pattern:

Simple One Skein Wrap

By: Marilyn Losee from Caron Yarn

Using one skein of yarn you can make this fabulous wrap for you or a friend. It's an easy crochet pattern that you can make in no time. The cream color allows you to wear it with any outfit.

Materials:

  • Caron International One Pound (100% acrylic; 16 oz/454 g, 812 yds/742 m skein):
  • One skein
  • Shown in: #589 Cream
  • One size US N-15 (10mm) crochet hook, or size to obtain gauge.
  • Yarn needle

GAUGE

In pattern, 3 pattern repeats = 16"/40.5cm and 7 rows = 8"/20.5cm. Note: One pattern repeat forms one "wave", and includes one dc7tog, 6 tr, and the ch-1 sps between them.

I am home

After 2 weeks of vacation, I am so glad I'm home. We went to the Holy Land, then we went to Fort Pierce, FL. I have family that lives down there, and Saturday night we had a get together until 1 a.m.. We got in Monday, and Tuesday it felt so good to wake up in my own bed. I didn't know that I would ever get homesick, but I did. I will never camp again. Did not like it. Hotel is the way to go for me and riding a train and stay a weekend.

I didn't find a house that I would be interested in. I'm going to keep searching over the internet and see what I can find in our price range.
